What would your day-to-day look like?

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Business Operations Intern to support our Engineering Business Operations team, part of the Architecture & Software Engineering (A&SE) Organisation. The intern will work closely with cross-functional departments, including engineering, product management, finance, procurement, etc., to harmonize and optimize processes, drive operational efficiency, and aim at achieving excellence in the organization. This role is ideal for someone passionate about engineering and business operations, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and optimization of engineering operational processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness

  • Support business operations by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to inform decision-making

  • Assist in the preparation of reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to monitor project progress, track deliverables, and maintain schedules

  • Help in budget planning and resource management 

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvement initiatives

  • Assist in managing operational risks by identifying and mitigating potential challenges

  • Conduct research and provide insights into industry trends, operational best practices, and new technologies

Who are you?

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science,  Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Biotech, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, JIRA, Trello) is a plus

  • Proficiency in data query languages (e.g., Python, R), business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau), dashboard design, information design, and visualization of data for education and decision-making

  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus

  • Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset

  • We want proactive and curious candidates who are willing to learn and grow by challenging the status quo. 

  • We are looking for flexible talents who can adapt to changes and are willing to collaborate with teams in a network organization. 

  • We will value candidates who are committed to deliver on projects and who have analytical skills. 

  • Advanced level of communication in English

  • Desirable to have international experience as a student or working abroad.

  • Passion for improving the lives of patients and motivation to give the best of yourself in an innovative and challenging environment.

  • Commitment to dedicate yourself full-time to the program from January 2025 to December 2025

  • International students must have a valid NIE or work permit in Spain.
