Job Description:

 The new Airbus UpNext demonstrator will pave the way to more autonomous flight capacity by integration of new innovative bricks including computer vision.

This position comes with a limited contract till end of September 2026, the deliverable of the demonstrator.

Main missions:

Your mission will be to realize the tests for the navigation algorithms and systems dedicated to the positioning on ground. The work is at the intersection of data analytics, aircraft navigation (mainly based on GNSS and IRS) and multisensor fusion.

Your goal is to set up the test means and realize the tests for the development, the verification, the validation and the performance assessment of the solutions designed by your colleagues or partners of the demonstrator. The operational goal of this demonstration is to perform more automatic operation while improving safety.

You will be:

  • Participating to the integration of the navigation solutions in the different test means 

  • Defining the test strategy

  • Developing the verification, validation and performance assessment tools

  • Communicating the reports to the team 

  • Criticizing the design to improve the performances

  • Defining & realizing advanced jamming & spoofing scenario

Your Boarding Pass:

What you bring

  • Diploma/master's degree in GNSS, Robotics, Computer Science, Mathematics,  Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field

  • Background in one or more of the following fields: data analytics, navigation systems simulation and testing, digital signal processing, multi-sensor data fusion

  • Experience in processing GPS and Galileo data including RTK and PPP augmentations

  • Knowledge in jamming and spoofing scenario

  • Excellent programming skills in one or more of the following languages: Matlab/Simulink, C/C++, Python

  • Negotiation level in English is required

  • Passion about exploring new areas, working on equations and quickly implementing innovative ideas and concepts

  • Critical thinking, flexibility and capability to adapt to changing environments

  • Team-player spirit

  • Impatience with a burning desire to execute rapidly, without compromising neither safety nor ethics nor compliance.
