Technical Product Manager/Owner

Location: Bangalore

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy: Define and articulate the product vision and strategy for data engineering products, aligning them with organizational goals and market demands in the healthcare sector.
  • Roadmap Planning: Develop and manage the product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on stakeholder feedback, business impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Requirements Gathering: Translate complex business and technical requirements into clear product specifications, ensuring alignment with user needs and regulatory standards.
  • User Experience Focus: Advocate for a user-centric design approach, collaborating with UX/UI teams to create intuitive and effective user interfaces for data engineering products.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends. Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to ensure the product remains relevant and competitive.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly engage with stakeholders, including healthcare providers and internal teams, to gather insights, provide updates, and validate product direction.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, data science, compliance, and healthcare stakeholders to ensure product features align with technical capabilities and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with Sales and Marketing: 
    • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to align product messaging and positioning with customer expectations.
    • Assist in the creation of marketing materials, including presentations, brochures, and case studies, based on customer insights.
    • Gather insights from customer interactions to inform strategic product decisions.
  • Customer Demo: 
    • Showcase the product’s features, benefits, and potential ROI in a way that resonates with different stakeholders (e.g., executives, end-users). 
    • Develop customized product demonstrations that align with the unique needs and pain points of potential customers.
    • Clearly articulate the value proposition of the product during demos, emphasizing how it solves specific problems and enhances efficiency. 
    • Use real-world scenarios and case studies to illustrate the product's effectiveness and relevance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all product features comply with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST) and maintain high standards of data privacy and security.
  • Documentation and Standards: Develop comprehensive documentation of data architecture standards, best practices, and processes for internal teams.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support materials for internal teams and users to facilitate the adoption of data engineering products.

Experience:

  • Experience: 12+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on data engineering products and a proven track record in the healthcare domain.
  • Product Management Skills: Proficiency in product management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, ATDD) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Technical Skills: Strong experience in the following:
    • Proficiency in Data engineering concepts, data architecture, data technologies (e.g., ETL processes, data pipelines, cloud data platforms)
    • Proficiency in Data mapping, Data governance practices, data stewardship.
    • Experience with any of the cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services
    • Experience in healthcare data interoperability frameworks (e.g., HL7 V2, HL7 V3, FHIR, SNOMED) is a plus
    • Understanding of Relational, NoSQL and Vector databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, SingleStore, Pinecone).
    • Understanding of Machine Learning frameworks (e.g., Python, Keras, Tensorflow), Responsible Use of AI, and Gen AI frameworks (GPT, Llama, RAG) is a plus
  • Analytical Mindset: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in managing cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree from a reputed university, Master’s degree/MBA will be a plus.
  • Advanced certifications in product management or data-related fields (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, CDMP).
