Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure Specialist)

We are expanding our UK-based team and are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to help build and maintain our cloud infrastructure using the Azure stack. You’ll play a critical role in deploying and managing complex applications, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability across our platforms.

This role is ideal for someone with expertise in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), key vaults, federated identities, and automating CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.

Salary range: 65-85K£

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using Azure services.
• Deploy and maintain Kubernetes clusters with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) to ensure high availability and scalability of applications.
• Secure applications and infrastructure using Azure Key Vaults and federated identities for managing sensitive data and identity management.
• Automate CI/CD pipelines for complex applications using GitHub Actions, ensuring seamless integration and deployment processes.
• Monitor and optimize application performance, ensuring uptime and reliability across the environment.
• Collaborate with development and security teams to ensure compliance with best practices for cloud security, monitoring, and governance.

What we're looking for in our applicants: 

• Extensive experience with Azure services, including AKS, Key Vault, and federated identities.
• Hands-on experience managing Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for deploying and scaling applications in production.
• Expertise in automating complex workflows using GitHub Actions for continuous integration and deployment.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Key Vaults and best practices for securing infrastructure and sensitive data.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code - IaC tools such as Terraform or ARM templates for provisioning cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor or Prometheus to ensure system health and performance.

Good to have:

• Experience with containerization and Docker.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps tools for project management and pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud cost management and optimization strategies.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automating operational tasks.
