Field Service Data Engineer

Applied Materials, an American multinational with Headquarters in Santa Clara - Silicon Valley California, is the world’s leading company in the supply of innovative machinery used in semiconductors production.

Our Data Engineers (also known as Aix Engineers) act as a support function to our Field Service Engineer (Maintenance Engineers). They are the interface between the Field Service team and the Digital Tools Enablement organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform data analytics on equipment sensor signals, analyzes trends in dialog with the field Hardware and Process Engineers to accelerate troubleshooting.

• Provide analytical data visualization to the service team and ensure use of the latest predictive models.

• Design, test and deploy new models and algorithms to “understand/predict” the equipment behavior behind the data by using direct inputs from our field service experts.

We are looking for you:

• You hold a Master’s degree in Data Science, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or related field

• An advanced level of English together with a proficient level of French.

• You are an EU Citizen or have the right to live and work in France.

Your mindset is important:

• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and a building trust nature.

• Exercise judgement based on data analysis of multiple sources of information like plant documentations, schematics, and hardware data.

• Find solutions with different tools to get the machine running again.

• Explain difficult or sensitive information and works to build consensus.
