Job Title: Data Engineer

Work Location: Jaipur

Summary:

As a Data engineer, you will be responsible for defining the data requirements and structure for the application. Your typical day will involve developing the application data structure, storage, and integrations.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Work on the design and development of new database/ data model changes.
• Work on database deployments and upgrade procedures.
• Develop and document best practices for database installations, administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with Change Management, Quality Assurance, Development, and Project Management teams for new releases and hotfixes.
• Provide technical support for triaging issues, identifying root causes, and deploying fixes or workarounds.
• Peer review and verify code for other database developers. 
• Partner with developers to review and data model changes and provide recommendations based on best practices.
• Improve existing processes and provide innovative ways to automate routines.
• Maintain and update database dictionary and release artifacts with each release.

Requirements:

• 6+ years’ experience in data modeling, ERD using ERWIN, or other data modeling tools.
• 6+ years’ experience working with high-volume OLTP and OLAP systems.
• Excellent T-SQL, PL/SQL script writing debugging skills.
• Experience with database upgrade tools, deployments, and automation.
• Experience troubleshooting issues with database performance, and functionality.
• Ability to work with source controls like git and svn and project tracking with JIRA.
• Ability to engage with emotional intelligence as required to avoid conflicts.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science.
