About the role - you will:

 

  • Develop, fine-tune, and deploy large language models for various applications
  • Manipulate and build models (traditional ML and generative AI) to extract insights from large data sets
  • Design and implement prompt engineering strategies to optimize model performance
  • Utilize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and related techniques to enhance model output.
  • Integrate generative AI innovations into Sales, marketing , Supply chain and other business products to improve performance and engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address AI-related challenges.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Generative AI and machine learning.
  • Adapt generative AI models for diverse machine learning tasks and application

 

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with traditional machine learning techniques, as well as recent work experience with Large Language Models, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and related technologies. The successful candidate will also be skilled at adapting Generative AI models for various data science problems.

About you:

  • Passionate professional who is up to the challenge of blending the fast-changing technology landscape of Generative AI with the complex and high-impact space of HiTech and Manufacturing analytics.
  • Strong appetite for constant learning, thinking out of the box, questioning the problems & solutions with the intent to understand and solve better.
  • Uncompromisingly detail oriented, well organized with solid time management skills, and you have solid, effective verbal and written communications abilities.
  • Ability to motivate people and instill ownership, reliability, teamwork, and commitment in the team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to develop relationships with different teams and peers in the organization.

Your experience includes:

  • Proven experience with Large Language Models (e.g. OpenAi, Lama, Gemini) and prompt engineering
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and ML frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow
  • Ability to quickly generate working code with a Generative AI coding copilot
  • Expertise in fine-tuning and deploying AI models in production environments
  • Strong knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and related techniques
  • Masters Degree in Computer Science or Business Analytics 
     

You might also have:

 

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) for model deployment
  • Experience with DevOps tools like Git and Docker

The estimated base salary range for this position is $98,400.00 - $116,000. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Seagate offers comprehensive benefits to its eligible employees, including, but not limited to, eligibility for variable pay bonus, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short-and long-term disability, 401(k), employee stock purchase plan, health savings account, dependent care, and healthcare spending accounts.
