Job Purpose and Impact

The Data Management Principal Engineer will provide advanced knowledge and thought leadership into the strategy development and execution of the company's data management capabilities through technical ownership of the data management software solutions. In this role, you will lead to create connected vision for related technologies and platforms, set governance best practices and ensure the company achieves value from investments in specific tools and articulate value across partners.

Key Accountabilities

  • Apply advanced knowledge and industry methodologies to define the product vision and road map globally in alignment with the company's data strategy.
  • Lead product teams on innovative solutions to foster data management capabilities, including data quality and master data management.
  • Partner collaboratively across the entire company to improve data quality through high value use cases and leverage data management tech/tools.
  • Provide expert thought leadership to solicit and use feedback from key stakeholders and users of products to ensure that the data management product teams maximize business value, improve adoption and deliver necessary features and functions for the company.
  • Provide expert thought leadership to assess value, develop business cases and prioritize stories, features and functions to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value aligned with the data management strategy.
  • Develop technical capabilities of the data management solutions and develop systems for coaching specific teams on how to use them.
  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Confirmed experience with agile product delivery models
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with MDM Platforms and Data Quality solutions
  • Experience assessing value, developing business cases and prioritizing technology decisions to derive maximum value aligned with data management strategy.
  • Experience collaborating with product teams on the technical direction, providing best engineering practices guidance
