Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the client's migration teams to implement strategy and design data pipelines using on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources.

• Recommend tools and capabilities based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various non-proprietary big data technologies.

• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines, workflows, and microservices using workflow management engines such as Airflow, AWS Step Functions, and Prefect.

• Write complex, highly-optimized SQL queries across large data sets.

• Develop and manage machine images or templates to automate cloud deployments.

• Configure and aggregate logs for data analysis using Splunk or ELK solutions.

• Optimize data pipelines, including leveraging native cloud capabilities, right-sizing servers, expanding storage, and tracking cost efficiencies at the microservice level.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest data architecture resources, and prototype using multiple data pipelines.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a TS/SCI clearance.

• BA or BS degree (or 5 years of relevant professional experience in lieu of degree).

• 8+ years of relevant professional experience.

• Demonstrated strength in data lake/warehouse technical architecture, infrastructure components, and ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Experience with workflow management engines such as Airflow, AWS Step Functions, and Prefect.

• Experience with non-proprietary big data technologies such as Presto/Trino, Hive, Spark, and Flink.

• Demonstrated hands-on experience in writing complex, highly optimized SQL queries across large data sets.

• Experience with scripting languages like Python.

• Experience delivering end-to-end data pipelines.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with deploying containerized microservices in Kubernetes infrastructure.

• Experience with working in defense or intelligence community cloud environments.

• Experience with optimizing data pipelines and tracking cost efficiencies at the microservice level.
