Senior Statistical Data Analyst (Hybrid) - Orthopedic Surgery

- Performs data analysis and/or data management using the latest and best methodologies as implemented in statistical packages (including SAS and SPSS) including generation of tables and graphs.
- Performs management duties as part of several large funded longitudinal data repository containing clinical and imaging data Harmonizes databases across multiple independent studies by working with database team of each study, standardizing database dictionary and creating standard metadata template for data sharing with both internal and external investigators.
- Advises and assists investigators in the design of experiments, clinical trials and epidemiological studies.
- Assists in data base design, implementation and maintenance of data collected over time for research purposes, including acquisition, editing and reporting.
- Data manager of longitudinal REDCap databases for several large, multi-center research projects; Maintains data progress and data quality through routine reporting.
- Ensures quality of REDCap data meets research expectations through communication with external sites about missing data points and outliers; Utilizes REDCap and other EDC systems as required for generation of such forms and reports; Performs quality control on all REDCap data Experience with SAS, knowledge of importing data through REDCap API is a plus Lead the response to REDCap data queries from Principal Investigators and external collaborators; Monitors and evaluates data integrity. Generate routine reports on statistics and figures and tables summarizing the current status of databases, using standard statistical packages, SAS, SPSS.
- Assumes major/exclusive responsibilities on large projects.
- Assists investigators by preparing publication quality material including sections for manuscripts and grants.
- Transfers QC’d data to national and local data repository as well as to individual investigators who requested the data, and track data sharing.
- Performs other duties as assigned (e.g. may assist in manuscript preparation).

- Master’s degree.
- Expert knowledge base and experience with database design, management and analysis.
- Skills and demonstrated success in designing and executing appropriate statistical data analysis in SAS, SPSS, or other packages.
- Experience in REDCap.
- Capable of assuming a leadership role.
- Demonstrated effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated organization skills.
