Role Summary

The Senior Business Analyst on the Sales and Client Data Strategy Team will be responsible for supporting changes to client relationship data, reactively and proactively addressing data processes and quality issues, and service as a lead in resolving 6-8k cases per year. .  In this position, you will work with cross-functional teams to address immediate ask and ensure root-cause is documented.

The overall goal of the role is to improve the availability and accuracy of data in Sales Management Platforms.  Oversight of Operational Data Management (ODM) team’s questions and research/direction on complex data updates for ongoing support of sales management tools. Collaborates on data standards within cross-functional teams to ensure data is regarded as accurate, timely, reliable, and trusted by business stakeholders. Serves as the key stakeholder for management of complex data updates, system enhancements and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing incoming requests for updates or enhancements focusing on quality, level of effort and prioritization for effective time management.
  • Pays close attention to details to provide data integrity/accuracy of updates in a timely manner
  • Provides ongoing training and job aids as changes are implemented and new members are onboarded.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with various cross-functional teams for ongoing support and knowledge sharing to gain confidence and trust in updates.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data domain, identify controls and efficiencies in operational updates and ensure business requests are in line with best practices
  • Monitor Sales Data exceptions and perform root cause analysis to identify business impact
  • Address change management and ensure automation and ongoing production support is efficient and documented/understood by team members and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skill is critical for all aspects of the role.
  • Give continuous feedback, acting as SME for stakeholders and technical teams on complex data operational requests and production support trends.
  • Collaborates on cross-functional project work – to ensure project goals are in line with data management goals in terms of data and reporting needs. Partners with internal stakeholders to translate complex definitions and content to ensure model and reporting adoption.
  • Identifies and shapes continuous improvement opportunities and recommendations that drives data to better serve the business.
  • Cultivate relationship with larger sales management teams as well as field sales teams.

What would we need to see from you:

Experience:

  • Minimum five years of experience working in data analyst/operations function in financial industry
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • Proven track record of oversight/training abilities for a team of analyst across a complex data management system
  • Understanding of data processing tools to extract and load data from files and databases

Skills and Abilities:

  • High sense of urgency and follow through. Partnering effectively to execute on common goals.
  • Oversight of priorities, quality and ongoing efficiencies across the team
  • Skilled at Training and preparing Job Aid details
  • Collaboration/Coordination skills across many functional areas to gain consensus and follow-thru on given decisions
  • Detail oriented to drive accurate results with appropriate facts gathered
  • Time management skills to wisely prioritize time spent on appropriate work items
  • Good research and problem-solving skills analyzing data and root cause to get to a well-reasoned solution.
  • Superb communication skills to train around various data scenarios and drive common understanding of problem in hand along with the proposed solution

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to two days per week from home.

Base salary ranges:

$114,500.00 - $195,000.00 for the location of: California, New York
$100,500.00 - $171,500.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C
$91,500.00 - $156,500.00 for the location of: Colorado, Maryland, Washington and all other US locations

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role.  Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package.  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
