Job Overview

Enrollment Management's Student Financial Aid Office is searching for a Data Reporting Analyst who will report to the Data Reporting Analyst 2 position in the Student Financial Aid Office. The SFA office is seeking an individual who can identify business intelligence, report, and perform functions to meet data analysis needs. The ideal candidate will be able to perform a variety of application development and analysis functions for Financial Aid, collaborate with internal teams to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make business decisions and evaluate and participate in functions necessary to implement and sustain the creation, maintenance, and use of financial aid information systems. The selected individual will also be responsible for testing and maintaining data, analysis, and reporting programs and ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and institutional rules and regulations.

Essential Functions

  • Work directly with departmental staff and campus partners to identify business requirements.
  • Perform data extraction and analysis and process data and reporting requests as required.
  • Analyze student data system modules and troubleshoot problems.
  • Review, evaluate, and formulate recommendations on operating procedures, processes, and system improvements.
  • Prepares and submits reports, ensures compliance with standards, and prepares other related reports as assigned.
  • Processes and manages data upload of student information.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental needs.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

  • One (1) year of business and/or ERP related experience.
  • Basic knowledge of systems and database administration.

Additional Qualifications Considered

Experience in student financial aid administration in higher education; familiar with MS Excel; provide data extraction and analysis to support financial aid.  Knowledge of systems analysis and programming concepts. 

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
