Description

Verily is actively seeking a self-starter with both a strong strategic mind and incredible operational rigor, who is able to influence and navigate a highly matrixed and cross-functional organization.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll be combining business and commercial strategy with operational excellence and execution, rolling up your sleeves to bring strategic initiatives to life.
  • You are a creative problem solver with a bias for action, an ability to connect the dots between various sources of information and teams, and a strong desire to drive tangible business impact.
  • You have an outcome-driven mindset, with an ability to convert strategic plans into actions, drive projects to completion, bring structure and standardization to bespoke work, and dive into the details to deliver outcomes.
  • You have a proven track record in developing critical processes, standard operating procedures, and communication channels that facilitate the health of the business. You are flexible and nimble, embracing change and excited to jump into special projects, as they arise.
  • You are a strong communicator and collaborator, with demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders across functions and levels to get the job done.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Business and/or Commercial Operations & Strategy: Bachelor’s degree + 7+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, business development, operations, technology, investment banking, finance, analytics or related experience. Experience leading large projects, hitting goals, and succeeding in a team environment. Problem solving and analytical skills, including expertise in Excel (required) and proficiency in SQL (preferred).
  • Project Management & Prioritization: 7+ years of experience in program or project management. Self-starter, strong sense of judgment, attention to detail, resourcefulness, and ability to prioritize from multiple projects within a fast-paced environment that experiences changing objectives. PMP or similar certifications preferred.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to analyze complex problems, think critically, and develop innovative design solutions that meet user needs and business goals.
  • Communication: Ability to write clear and simple standard operating procedures, guidelines, tutorials, and presentations to document and explain complex processes. Strong interpersonal skills and can engage with people and teams at all levels of the organization.
  • KPIs & Measurement: Have experience with measuring work via metrics and key performance indicators. Be able to prepare metrics, identify key takeaways, and report results to executive leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Analytics and dash-boarding experience (SQL, Python, etc.).
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $124,000 - $177,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
