Working Student - Data Engineering (f/m/d)

Your area of work
As a working student (f/m/d) in our big data & Advanced Analytics team, we offer you the opportunity to contribute to projects and initiatives aimed at providing production-ready services, developing highly scalable platforms, and delivering AI solutions for use across the entire group.

Your responsibilities:

• You will assist the team building and maintaining scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks
• You will support Senior team members with data platform related tasks (Spark cluster upgrades, Terraform, CI/CD, etc.)
• You will work closely with data scientists, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and help deliver data & ML solutions
• In addition, you will write and maintain technical documentation and perform tasks in Agile methodology
• Furthermore, you will promote data collaboration, orchestration, quality, security, access, and ease of use

Your profile: 

• You are enrolled during the entire period of activity at a state-recognized university as a regular student and have completed at least 3 semesters (Study focus on the field of informatics, mathematics, physics, economics, business studies, or other relevant fields) or you already hold a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree that is not older than 6 months
• You are familiar with big data technologies and frameworks
• You are aware of Azure Cloud platform services or are willing to learn
• You are proficient in SQL and knowledge of at least one programming language, ideally Python
• You are familiar with data platforms and processing frameworks such as Spark is a plus
• You are fluent in written and spoken English
