Department Overview

The Enterprise Service Delivery (ESD) Business Operations team delivers a broad range of expertise and services to drive integrated, cross-organizational solutions. By providing strategic counsel and program governance, the team helps the organization balance operational strategy, risk, compliance, and continuous improvement. We aspire to build leading programs that enable ESD and PG&E to thrive in their operations.

Position Summary

The Operations Data Analyst, Senior manages data and processes for operational excellence, analysis, leadership visibility, and support for ad hoc data requests. The successful candidate will develop, maintain, and enhance data pipelines, data visualizations, and other operational tools for the ESD team to drive business decisions. They will be responsible for modeling, building, and maintaining data processes that optimize the flow of information into visual management solutions in an efficient manner.

They Analyst must be able to identify gaps and opportunities where data could be utilized to achieve business objectives and design solutions to close gaps; including automating data routines and

processes. Outside of data processes, the individual will need to synthesize data into summaries with clear, concise and actionable findings. Additionally, collaborating with stakeholders, the Analyst will identify and solve current gaps in system requirements to ensure ongoing program operations and visibility while supporting effective leadership decision making.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.

We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top half of the range described below, but the decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable salary range is:

 

Annual Minimum: $105,000.00

Annual Maximum: $169,000.00

Responsibilities:

 Designs data pipelines, visualizations, and analyses to achieve business objectives, process data, analyze data, write clear and concise data findings and tailor communications to specific audiences. Analyzes data to develop ad hoc reports, statistics, trends, and profiles.

 Manages complex data analysis projects with limited supervision from initial request to presenting data results ensuring that the project is completed within budget and on-time.

 Designs data analysis to achieve business objectives, process data, analyze data, write clear and concise data findings and tailor communications to specific audiences. Analyzes data using various statistical tools to develop ad hoc reports, statistics, trends and profiles.

 Manages complex data extracts and list pulls ensuring data accuracy. Manages extracting data and transferring the data from databases to various analysts to support operational analysis efforts.

 Creates complex automated data routines and processes for reporting and data delivery ensuring accurate data manipulation and data cleansing.

 Demonstrates and utilizes advanced knowledge of data processing and data analysis techniques.

 Manages complex data analysis projects with limited supervision from initial request to presenting data results ensuring that the project is completed within budget and on-time.

 Develops and communicates clear, concise and actionable data analyses for clients.

 Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support inspection and technology process design.

  • Provides recommendations and implements database enhancements with new data sources and improved data processes.
Qualifications: Minimum:

 BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Engineering or other related field or equivalent work experience

 Four (4) years of related work experience

Desired:

Demonstrated experience in data visualization best practices using Power BI

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products, specifically excel

Familiarity with utility operations

 Strong organizational skills, ability to effectively prioritize work, meet deadlines and work on multiple tasks independently.

 Good communications and presentation skills to deliver findings and make recommendations to stakeholders.

Project management skills.
