Pricing Data Analyst

SUMMARY: Turns data into actionable information for the business to grow and improve price realization, sales growth, and margins. Takes pricing and sales data to create models and forecasts for different scenarios. Be the leader of continuous improvement through actionable data to help the organization achieve its goals.

Manages the pricing reporting and analysis of objectives like price realization, margin impact, price changes, PPV, and cost changes.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Use analytical methods to report data and generate useful actionable recommendations
• Create quotes in software systems (Salesforce, and JDE) for the sales organization
• Manages requests for pricing for project quotations using appropriate discretion in accordance with established pricing strategies and policies including:
  • Accurate assessment of business opportunity
  • Compliance with pricing strategy
  • Evaluation of competitive activity
  • Optimizing product mix to maximize profitability
• Manage the pricing data for integrity and accuracy
• Manage the approval of promo invoices
• Manage the sales sample process for the sales organization
• Develop and maintain buying programs for achieving company goals
• Manage the planning, modeling, forecasting, analysis, and reporting of key Pricing data
• Develop and maintain configurators for accurate product pricing
• Help others understand cost and pricing data in a manufacturing environment
• Reviews, recommends, develops and/or implements processes to optimize use of company ERP applications and associated systems as well as participate in new system development related to functional area
• Team and collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to manage achieving pricing goals.
• Identify and proactively raise pricing issues and trends; track pertinent metrics, diagnose processes, recommend alternatives for improved effectiveness
• Track Price versus Volume and determine ways to improve price realization
• Help manage the preparation and publication of departmental and organization reports
• Examine financial, pricing, and sales data via software applications like Power BI, SQL, JDE, and SAP Business Objects ensuring integrity and accuracy

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related
• 1 + years in a Pricing, Finance or Sales analysis role
• 4 + years of using and analyzing data
