We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

Dominion Energy is seeking an intern to work directly with our Category Management Supply Chain team supporting Power Delivery. The position works directly with Category Management professionals, internal customers, and suppliers to ensure services and equipment reliability for the Power Delivery Business Unit. The successful candidate should be in pursuit of a relevant degree and will be exposed to in depth data analytics in support of the development of category management strategies and driving overall supplier performance.  Successful candidate should have a background in data analytics, data science will relevant coursework to demonstrate analytical capabilities.  Additionally, candidate should have background in programming languages such as Python.

Candidates will have the opportunity to actively participate in the development and implementation of dashboards. Additionally, interns will be expected to perform spend analyses and interact with internal customers and subject matter experts to obtain desired results. Potential exposure to multiple levels of the business will be included as part of this internship. 

This is a year-round internship opportunity, not a summer internship. 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

• Able to work on site 20 hours per week

 Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience:
 Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5; GPA's of 3.0 or above strongly preferred.
• Prefer students to have foundational courses in Data Analytics, Data Science, Supply Chain, Accounting,  or Economics
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Python, Power BI, Microsoft office suite including Excel and Power Point
• Basic understanding of negotiation principles
• Value/cost analysis
• Knowledge of SAP ERP preferred but not required
• Sound business judgment
• Comprehensive analytical abilities applicable to diverse issues
• Capable of managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines
• Anticipate, understand and respond to customer needs.

Education Requirements

• Must be a full-time student at a 4-year college currently pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Students concentrating or majoring in Supply Chain Management and Analytics are strongly preferred.

• Must have a GPA of 2.5 or greater.

  • GPAs of 3.0 or greater are strongly preferred.

Have an anticipated graduation date between December 2026 and May 2027
