Lead Specialist - Data Engineering

What can you expect?

  • This role is critical in enabling data driven decision making, ensuring data quality and governance and building scalable data infrastructure.
  • This role gives the candidate continuous learning opportunities, cross functional collaboration and future growth potential.
  • Candidate should get knowledge of all the projects which the BI Solutions team supports. Should get familiarize with the Data warehouse and its architecture. And in three months become productive in resolving process/business issues.
  • The candidate will work with other Data Engineer, BA and BI developers. Collaborate with MGTI IT team and if required connect with the Business.
  • Initially all the functional, business and Knowledge of tools used will be imparted inhouse. If there is any requirement of learning a new tool that training can be given on need basis.

We will count on you to:

Business Requirement Analysis: Understand, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into functional specifications. Create and maintain a backlog of system improvements.

Process Improvement: Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs for potential improvements. Develop strategies to improve existing processes, and drive efficiency and accuracy.

Project Management: Lead or assist in project management activities, ensuring the project aligns with the business goals. This could involve planning, monitoring, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and in scope.

Stakeholder Management: Liaise with multiple stakeholders, including business heads, managers, and technical teams. Manage expectations, negotiate requirements and plans and ensure clear communication between all parties involved.

Data Analysis: Use data analysis tools and methodologies to provide insights and recommendations. Analyze data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools.

Solution Design and Implementation: Develop and implement comprehensive business solutions to solve organizational challenges. This might also involve coordinating with the IT department to develop suitable technical solutions.

Training and Support: Train users on new processes and systems. Provide ongoing user support and troubleshooting, improve systems by studying current practices and designing modifications.

Team Collaboartion: Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BE/B.TECH) in Computer Science, MIS or related qualification. A master’s degree is always helpful
  • 3+ years of experience in experience working on large or medium scale projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business
  • Proven experience as a business analyst
  • Strong project management, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point, strong relationship building skills & communication skills
  • Data analysis – Must have proficiency with SQL, Microsoft Excel etc.
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
