Research Associate (Engineering/Science)

The Delta-NTU Corporate Laboratory for Advanced Robotics invites applications for the position of Research Associate.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop algorithms to identify static, dynamic, and repetitive features and build corresponding maps based on point clouds

• Collaborate with other team members to develop multi-sensor fusion localization and mapping algorithms for dynamic feature scenes

• Design and develop both mechanical and software systems for sensor suits to be added to UGVs with proper computing platform

• Assist in on-site experiments and data acquisition in application environment

Job Requirements: 

• Master’s degree in engineering or science

• Experience in LIDAR and visual SLAM for robotics or unmanned systems

• Good programming skills in C/C++ or Python

• Knowledge in machine learning

• Ability to work independently and contribute to the whole team

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
