This role is onsite 5 days a week in Fremont, CA

About the Role

As a Senior Merchandising Project Analyst in the Merchandising Strategy team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and coordinating key merchandising strategies. A capable Senior Merchandising Project Analyst understands the company's values, strategies, and goals, translating them into actionable targets for the Merchandising team. You will further translate the targets to plans  and lead cross-functional teams execute the plan and deliver results. You will set metrics to monitor and give guidance to improve.

Responsibilities

Assortment Improvement:

    • Release metrics for assortment performance measurement
    • Identify key areas for improvement using internal data and industry standards
    • Enhance the assortment management process and implement it in the ERP system

 Sales Planning:

    • Break down company sales goals to each Merchandising department
    • Set key promotion, discount, and event strategies to meet sales goals
    • Develop tools to track and visualize progress for each sales plan execution in real time

Efficiency and Profitability enhancement:

    • Understand the company’s long-term profitability strategies and break down Merchandising’s efficiency and profitability goals
    • Set the appropriate metrics to monitor these goals
    • Develop cross-functional plans and align various teams to achieve them

 Vendor Management:

    • Combine industry standards with Weee!’s situation to develop the effective vendor management metrics and monitoring systems
    • Work with Category Buyers and vendors to understand how to align vendor’s interests with our values, strategies, and standards
    • Set reasonable goals and plans in phases and collaborate with different teams and vendors to achieve them

 Process Optimization:

    • Propose process improvement requirements to support all Merchandising Strategies
    • Make plan execution steps trackable tasks in the ERP system
    • Work with Process Engineering and Project Management teams to release changes online

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Data Analysis,  Engineering or Business.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.
  • Experience with Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork spirit.
  • Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams to work on projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Enthusiastic learner eager to contribute to Merchandising initiatives.
  • 2 years of hands-on Python experience for algorithm optimization (preferred).
  • 3 years of experience in online grocery retail business (preferred).

Compensation Range

  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000 - $100,000
  • This role may be eligible to discretionary bonus, incentives and benefits 
  • Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location
