Full-time: 35 hours per week 

Fixed-term: 12 months

 

The Opportunity:

The School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh invites applications for Research Data Manager (Maternity Cover)

An opportunity has arisen for a position within the Informatics Research Data Management team.  You will be responsible for the analysis, collation, storage, reporting and publishing of data relating to research and research performance.  You will play a key role in the co-ordination and submission of the Informatics’ REF return.  You will be proactive in nurturing a vibrant impact culture within the school encouraging academic staff to engage with impact activites.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.  

The salary for this post is £40,247 to £47,874 per annum.

 

Your skills and attributes for success: 

  • Demonstrable experience of analysis, interpretation and implementation of regulatory frameworks and codes of practice within the HE sector.
  • A high level of numeracy and excellent communication (verbal and written), leadership and interpersonal skills. 
  • Advanced competency in use of databases with the ability to interrogate, analyse, manipulate and report on data.
  • Proven organisation and planning skills, including a methodical and flexible approach to tasks; an ability to effectively prioritise and plan, strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and to deliver work to tight timescales and deadlines.
