What we need YOU to do: 

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to join our team as a data analytics manager with the Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) at our Central Office in Franklin County.

You’ll manage the data analytics operations within small-to-medium-sized data analytics teams in ITS, supervising a range of activities involving data governance and analytics, business intelligence, and geographical information systems. 

You’ll develop procedures for setting and implementing effective data management and governance practices, while ensuring adherence to state data policies, standards, and procedures. You’ll also participate in planning and prioritization of long-term goals and objectives for agency-wide analytics strategies. 

We’ll count on you to partner with internal stakeholders to ensure quality data management, including the establishment of consistent processes for maintaining the agency’s data inventory/catalog, appropriate data collection, integration, usage, and labeling. 

You’ll serve as Ohio EPA’s designee to Ohio Data Governance Council and coordinate information management activities with external agencies and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

84 mos. exp. or trg. in data analytics, statistical analysis, or research methods; 12 mos. exp. in supervisory &/or management principles & techniques.

-Or completion of associate core program in data analytics, computer science, information systems, computer engineering, applied mathematics, statistics, industrial/systems engineering, or related field; 66 mos. exp. or trg. in data analytics, statistical analysis, or research methods; 12 mos. exp. in supervisory &/or management principles & techniques.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in data analytics, computer science, information systems, computer engineering, applied mathematics, statistics, industrial/systems engineering, or related field; 60 mos. exp. in data analytics, statistical analysis, or research methods. 12 mos. exp. in supervisory &/or management principles & techniques.

-Or completion of graduate core program in data analytics, computer science, information systems, computer engineering, applied mathematics, statistics, industrial/systems engineering, or related field; 48 mos. exp. or trg. in data analytics, statistical analysis, or research methods; 12 mos. exp. in supervisory &/or management principles & techniques.
