About the Role

The newly established Home Ecosystem Value Stream, part of Innovation, Partnerships, and Design, is dedicated to creating products and services that empower Australians on their home-buying journey. We collaborate with strategic partners across various sectors, including Property Technology and Artificial Intelligence, to deliver exceptional value to homeowners.


At ANZ, the customer is at the heart of everything we do, and the Home Ecosystem team is no exception. We operate in cross-functional agile delivery squads, allowing us to build and deliver a suite of highly engaging digital features within ANZ Plus. You'll also have the opportunity to develop shared capabilities that support projects across the broader ANZ group.


As a Senior AI/ML Engineer in this dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and building innovative AI-driven systems and services. You will lead the development of cutting-edge solutions that leverage advanced technologies, enhancing the homeowner experience. Your expertise will be crucial in building advanced solutions for a next-gen AI user experience.

What will your day look like?

  • Collaborate with teammates in an engineering squad to design, build, enhance, and  operate AI-driven features and services that deliver unique value to homeowners.
  • Drive data-related architectural decisions, ensuring the integration of AI/ML best practices into our codebase.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging knowledge sharing and mentorship within the team.
  • Tackle complex challenges collaboratively, utilizing asynchronous communication tools like Slack and GitHub, while also engaging in face-to-face interactions for  effective problem-solving.

What will you bring?

  • Proven AI/ML Expertise:

-Proficiency and significant experience in machine learning algorithms and techniques, including natural language processing (NLP) and large language models (LLMs).
-Experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch for model development and deployment.
-Strong experience in data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.

 

  • Software Engineering Proficiency:

-Experience in developing production-level software applications in languages like Go, Java, C#, Node.js, or Python.
-Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, as well as cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure for deploying AI solutions.
-Knowledge of software development best practices.

 

Leadership Skills: Ability to influence and guide teams in developing well-engineered solutions and fostering a collaborative environment.

Analytical Thinking: Ability to break down complex problems into clear, actionable ideas and plans.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
