Supply Chain Data Analyst Intern

Spring 2025 Internship: This position is located at our HQ in Durham, NC.  Expected program dates are January 21 – April 25, 2025.   

Job Description: Supply Chain Data Analyst Intern

Responsibilities:

1. Data Analysis & Reporting:
• Collect, clean, and analyze supply chain data from various sources (e.g., ERP systems, databases, spreadsheets).
• Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate supply chain performance metrics (e.g., delivery times, costs, inventory levels).
2. Process Improvement:
• Recommend solutions for process improvements to optimize supply chain performance (e.g., demand forecasting, inventory management).
• Identify internal data analysis bottlenecks and implement solutions
3. Data Management:
• Assist in the development of data collection processes and tools for continuous monitoring.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity by maintaining up-to-date records.
4. Forecasting & Modeling:
• Analyzing forecast output to identify trends and compare output across similar product sets
5. Collaboration:
• Work closely with supply chain managers, data scientists, and other team members to support ongoing projects.
• Present findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Basic knowledge of supply chain concepts (e.g., inventory management, procurement, logistics).
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Ability to handle large datasets.

Key Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis software
• Proficiency with Tableau and other data visualization software
• Data analysis and statistical modeling
• Problem-solving and critical thinking
• Knowledge of supply chain processes
• Experience with database management systems is a plus

This role is ideal for students seeking practical experience in supply chain analytics and a hands-on understanding of real-world supply chain challenges.
