Associate Data Scientist

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business, platform and technology stakeholders to understand the scope of projects.
• Perform comprehensive exploratory data analysis at various levels of granularity of data to derive inferences for further experimentation/evaluation.
• Design, develop and deploy data backed solutions based on machine learning/forecasting and predictive modeling techniques.
• Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to build robust machine learning/statistical models.
• Deliberate, design and develop strategies for impact evaluation of solutions using causal inference techniques.
• Continuously focus on providing business value while ensuring technical sustainability.
• Promote and drive adoption of cutting-edge data science practices within the team.
• Continuously stay up to date on relevant technologies and use this knowledge to push the team forward.

We are looking for:

• A team player having 3-6 years of experience in the field of data science.
  Proficiency with programming/querying languages like python, SQL, pyspark along with Azure cloud platform tools like databricks, ADF, synapse, web app, etc.
• Proficiency with data visualization using programming languages and BI tools like Power BI to act as a collaborator across business and technology.
• A person with a scientific and analytical thinking mindset comfortable with brainstorming and ideation. A doer with deep interest in driving business outcomes through data science.
• A candidate with bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, mathematics, or computer science with a specialization within the field of machine learning, statistics, and operations research.
• Algorithmic software engineering skills with performance at scale is crucial.
• Prior understanding in business domain of shipping and logistics is an advantage.
