The Data Governance Manager creates and maintains a strong data governance framework to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance throughout the organization. They will work within the data governance function at Accertify, which encompasses data cataloging, lineage documentation, data quality assessments, and leadership in data alignment workstreams. Additionally, Data Governance collaborates with our privacy and information security teams to ensure adherence to global privacy standards.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Management, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data governance, data quality management, or related field.
  • Strong expertise in data quality assessment methodologies and frameworks.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
  • People-leadership experience, managing a cross-functional team of direct reports.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and drive accountability for data quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications in data governance or data quality (e.g., CDMP, DGSP, or similar).
  • Familiarity with software development practices and contemporary technologies.
  • Experience working alongside technical teams in an Agile development environment.
  • Experience in eCommerce Payments or Risk industry; familiarity with eCommerce Risk terminology and concepts.
Additional Details:
  • Potential salary range: $86,000-120,000. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
  • This role is eligible for remote US-based (work-from-home) locations. Chicago-based candidates would work in a hybrid capacity from the Accertify HQ in Itasca, IL.
  • Travel required 10-15%
  • Visa Sponsorship: employment eligibility to work for Accertify in the U.S. is required, as Accertify will not pursue Visa sponsorship for this position.
