Strategic Technology Procurement Data Analyst

 

Location: Home-Based / Hybrid in PA or local office

 

Position Summary:

 

Data Analyst is a professional responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing large datasets to help Strategic Technology Procurement make informed business decisions. The STP Data Analyst uses their expertise in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and data visualization to uncover patterns, trends, and insights that drive our strategic objectives and goals.

 

Your Day-to-Day:

 

Data Collection and Management

  • Gathering data from various sources, including databases, system logs, surveys, and external sources.
  • Cleaning and preprocessing data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintaining databases and data systems, ensuring data integrity and security.

Data Analysis

  • Analyzing large datasets from STP systems to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
  • Applying statistical techniques to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Using data modeling techniques to predict future trends and outcomes.

Data Visualization and Reporting

  • Creating visualizations such as charts, graphs, and dashboards to effectively communicate data insights.
  • Preparing comprehensive dashboards and reports that summarize findings and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Presenting data insights with assistance to our stakeholders and STP Director in a clear and concise manner.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including DX, marketing, finance, and operations, to understand data needs and project goals.
  • Communicating data findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Providing support and training to team members on data-related tools and techniques.

Project Management

  • Ad-hoc projects relating to data/compliance/procurement

 

What You Bring to The Team:

 

Technical Skills

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of database management systems, including relational databases.

Analytical Skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and analytically.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to identify key trends and insights from complex data sets.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to analyze and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Communication Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to create compelling visualizations.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, a related field, or relevant training and experience.

Experience

  • At least 2-4 years of experience in a data analysis or related role.
  • Experience working with large datasets and complex data systems.
  • Proven track record of delivering actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Ability to work independently remote and as part of a team.
  • Proven continuous learning mindset and a willingness to stay updated with the latest data trends and technologies.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as SQL, Excel, Python, R, and SAS.

Advanced degrees or certifications in data-related fields

  • This is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week, remote-based or hybrid in the US.
  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements). The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person (on occasion), and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling, and meeting functions.
  • This role requires 1 trip per year to the corporate office in Exton, PA.
