This is an outstanding opportunity for a Database Administrator to work for Oracle’s Cloud Foundation Services (CFS) group. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide escalation support for database related issues as a member of a Global team
  • Alert and diagnostic monitoring of our Cloud Services
  • Work closely with Product Development teams and provide feedback to improve product quality
  • Develop administration automation and monitoring scripts as needed
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures/documentation
  • Share knowledge with team members as needed

There is a requirement for flexibility of hours to support varying business requirements. Start and end times will vary depending on business need. In addition to weekdays and weekend shifts, you will also be required to work Public Holidays, on a rotational basis.

Career Level - IC2

Experience with Oracle database 19c multitenant database, RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Golden Gate, and performance tuning with Enterprise Manager for monitoring and administering mission critical databases.
Experience with Oracle Autonomous Database in a plus.
Advanced scripting/ coding skills (Shell, Perl, and Python). 
Experience with Ansible is a plus as is Linux system administration
Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Azure, AWS, or GCP is preferred.  OCI certifications are an advantage.
Experience of working within an organization with a key 24x7 reliance on its databases.
Experience in working in an environment with established Incident, Change and Problem Management processes.
Strong understanding of security principles, and security implementations for database engines .
Candidates for this role should have 3-5 years of relevant database administration experience, hold a BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
