Apprentice - Master Data Software Engineering

**HP’s Apprenticeship Program is a 15-month commitment, beginning in January 2025 and concluding in spring 2026. Before applying, please ensure you fully understand the role and are prepared for the entire duration of the program.**

Be part of an organization that manages the Supply Chain IT functions in HP. We design and implement solutions primarily on the SAP platform to support the internal HP business worldwide.  

A Typical Day:

  • As a Master Data Software Engineering Apprentice at HP, you will work as part of a larger world-wide team of experienced developers in an interactive, collaborative team environment. 

  • You will work on a variety of high-volume master data applications for a global business community who are managing and maintaining HP’s master data for Products, and more.

  • You will learn the fundamentals of analysis and design, development and testing, using agile principles and a continuous software delivery mindset.

  • You will have opportunities to solve real issues by analyzing system integrations and debugging code 

  • Best of all, you will be a contributing member of your team, putting forward ideas and listening to feedback, taking on responsibilities and making choices about how you get the job done.

You Must Have: 

  • Either a High School Diploma, GED, or Associate Degree 
     

Skills Needed:

  • Prior interest and experience in application coding and development

  • Exposure to web development through personal projects, academics, or professional experience

  • Able to work independently and take initiative, as well as work collaboratively and contribute to an agile team environment

  • Curiosity to learn supply chain principles and conceptsAbility to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions

  • Willingness to build proficiency in Client server and SAP technologies

  • Willingness to learn about Application Operations and the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
