Master Data Management Manager

FARO is looking for a Master Data Analyst to work from our office in Portugal. This will be considered a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of 2- 3 days in the office weekly.

FARO is looking for a Manager of Master Data Management (MDM) to lead and scale our master data management team. Our MDM team is focused on internal business process data and customer-facing data which solve critical business problems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Establish a technology vision and strategy for MDM and data governance focusing on business outcomes tracked via key metrics. 

• Lead a team of master data analysts; promote career development; manage performance

• Define stewardship and custodianship of data in partnering with other stakeholders, Product, Technology, and Functional Leaders.

• Oversee daily tasks of MDM analysts to maintain service level agreements, reinforce training, identify areas for remediation and skillset growth for team, and related support functions. 

• Ensure adherence to established governance procedures related to asset, material, pricing, and vendor master maintenance. 

• Provide ongoing support in accordance with data governance procedures and recommend areas for improvement for the process and controls.

• Update technical documentation and process documentation related to Master Data where needed.

• With a focus on project deliverables, oversee loads and collate data by retrieving the information from the accountable stewards, core team members, and business stakeholders.

• Montior and drive KPI improvement

• Plays an integral role in ongoing data improvement initiatives

• Lead data cleansing activities across multiple systems in coordination with local teams and global IT within a specific domain

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proven technology leader with experience managing highly engaged teams.

• Passionate about data quality – able to explain complex or intangible concepts to stakeholders at all levels.

• Able to motivate and inspire team members, peers, stakeholders, and executives.

• Innovative; thinks beyond boundaries.

• Analytical; solve problems at the root cause and prioritizes effectively.

• Continuous improvement mentality.

• Comfortable speaking to employees from across the company being flexible and open-minded; proactively seeks input from others.

• Handles constructive criticism with ease; adapts easily and efficiently to change.

• Experience with SAP CPQ, SAP ECC, SFDC, WinShuttle, PowerBI preferred.
