About this opportunity
Welcome to the DQ Advisory & Analytics Capabilities team within Group Data Management (GDM). We add value by exercising a broad range of responsibilities including capability building for advisory and technical support to implement the Data Governance recipe and visualization of the Data Quality reporting. As the Data Governance Expert, you’ll play a valuable role in putting in place policies and processes to meet the regulations and business requirements, give input to and/or help implement the Data Governance Framework – internal rules, instructions, SOPs, etc., across the Group. Also provide guidance, support, analysis and controls for key stakeholders, contribute to the capability building and capability implementation utilizing in depth specialized skills, and help building the foundation for 'fit for purpose data'.
What you’ll be doing:
- Becoming a subject matter expert on data governance processes in relation to Data Quality and Data Quality Issue Management.
- Becoming a subject matter expert on data governance tools primarily the IBM Information Analyzer, IGC Information Governance Catalogue and Power BI.
- Creating and giving high quality guidance (ie Portal, Expert documentation "handbooks").
- Contributing to the development of new data governance and data quality policies, principles, standards and instructions as well as deliver enhancements in BAU state.
- Collaborating, supporting and contributing to training and knowledge sharing sessions for data governance, and data quality practitioners in GF/BAs.
- Supporting DG Framework implementation in BA/GF's, as well as Implement and maintain capability solutions in data governance and data quality.
- Contributing to conduct assessments/reviews/diagnosis on the subject in order to determine whether it is up to standard and to formulate recommendations, and provide transparency to the relevant stakeholders.
- Contributing to/develop reporting and visualizations to provide information about the quality and progress of the subject in order to communicate whether it is up to standard.

Your experience and background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field.
- Strong knowledge of MS-Office tools, databases and reporting tools.
- 3+ years’ experience within data analysis / reporting area using preferably Power BI and/or MS SQL server.
- In lieu of specific data analysis experience, core Business Analyst skills are required.
- Previous experience in the IBM Infosphere products especially IA - Information Analyzer and IGC Information Governance Catalogue is an asset.
- Previous detailed experience with Atlassian JIRA software and agile/SAFe ways of working is also an asset.
- Superior level fluency, both written and spoken, in English language.
