Compensation includes a base salary of $64,200.00 - $96,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

Cox Automotive is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Data Engineer I. The Junior Data Engineer will work with more Senior Data Engineers and business partners to generate new business insights by developing new data assets and pipelines in a cloud environment, enhance and support existing data assets, conduct ad-hoc proof-of-concepts around enterprise data, and work with the team to adapt AI technologies into dataflows.

The Data Engineer I will be responsible for:

  • Supporting senior team members with data mapping, analysis, and pipeline development in an AWS and Snowflake environment.
  • Completing business ad-hoc data requests.
  • Building SQL based proof-of-concepts for our business stakeholders.
  • Developing data assets for enterprise business reporting.
  • Creating and maintaining data quality and data auditing capabilities
  • Completing assigned business valued projects with limited guidance.

​Qualifications:

  • SQL Development Experience
  • Python data development experience
  • Cloud Computing (AWS &/or Snowflake) experience
  • Data Analysis Experience
  • Impact Analysis Experience
  • An eagerness to advance both their technical and business enterprise data knowledge.
  • A fast learner who can take direction and is always willing to ask questions.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as 4 years’ experience in a related field.

Preferred:

  • Experience building data pipelines in AWS & Snowflake
  • Experience working with business stakeholders to refine data needs.
