This ten-week paid internship is located in Chicago, IL

What Are Your Responsibilities?

As an intern, you will use large quantities of data on a data science project that has the potential to positively impact our members' health care access, affordability, and outcomes. We use large quantities of data to assess the effectiveness of clinical interventions, improve the efficiency of our operating processes, and identify and implement solutions to tailor our plans to better meet our members' needs.

• Proficiency in at least two of the following four areas: 1) data analysis and relational-style query languages; 2) data pipelining and ETL; 3) working with semi structured and unstructured data; 4) understanding of healthcare from the payer’s point of view.

What Are the Requirements You Must Meet? 

• Pursing a Bachelor’s /master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with comparable programming experience.
• Preferred: Previous healthcare, data science, or technology-related internship experience
• Preferred: Experience with Python, SQL, Docker, and Git
• Preferred: Understand machine learning, statistical analysis, and data visualization practices.
• Graduation date between December 2025 – June 2026
• A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
• Availability to work 10 weeks during the summer (June 2025 – August 2025)

Base Pay Range$19.17 - $42.68
