Data Scientist

Introduction

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Data Scientist, you will:

• Development and deployment of advanced machine learning models to drive business insights and decision-making.
• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable data science solutions.
• Mentor junior data scientists and provide technical guidance on data analysis, modeling techniques, and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate machine learning models into production systems.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on machine learning and statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, or Scala, and data science libraries such as Pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• In depth understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Proven communication skills and the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as IBM Cloud and Cloud Pak for Data.
