Summary:
Community Health Systems is seeking a seasoned Senior Director to lead our Cloud Data Engineering and Governance team. This role will be instrumental in driving the adoption and optimization of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) across our organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and scaling high-performing cloud teams, implementing robust governance frameworks, and fostering a culture of innovation and agility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of experienced cloud engineers, architects, and governance specialists.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Recruit and develop top talent to build a world-class cloud team.
- Cloud Strategy and Architecture:
- Develop and execute the cloud strategy, aligning with the organization's overall business objectives.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures on GCP and OCI.
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- Governance and Risk Management:
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive cloud governance framework, including policies, standards, and procedures.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
- Implement robust data security and privacy measures.
- Data Quality and Management:
- Develop and oversee data quality initiatives to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
- Implement data governance practices to manage data lifecycle and optimize data usage.
- Agile Transformation:
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation through Agile methodologies.
- Implement DevOps practices to streamline development and deployment processes.
- Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams.
- Technology Integration:
- Oversee the integration of cloud technologies with existing systems and applications.
- Evaluate and select appropriate cloud-based tools and services.
- Ensure seamless interoperability between GCP and OCI environments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in cloud computing, with a strong focus on GCP and OCI.
- Proven track record in leading and managing high-performing cloud teams.
- Deep understanding of cloud architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
- Expertise in data governance, quality, and management.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Architect, OCI Certified Architect Associate).
- Experience with data analytics and machine learning tools.
- Familiarity with healthcare industry regulations and standards.
