Senior Data Quality Engineer

In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of our data assets.

What You’ll Do:

• Data Quality Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of data quality across various data sources and pipelines to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
• Develop Quality Standards: Establish and implement data quality standards, metrics, and procedures to ensure that data meets defined criteria for accuracy and reliability.
• Automated Testing: Design and execute automated data quality tests, including data validation scripts and ETL process testing, to monitor data integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
• Data Profiling: Utilize data profiling techniques to analyze datasets for patterns, trends, and outliers, providing insights for data cleansing and enhancement efforts.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide actionable recommendations for data quality improvements.
• Issue Resolution: Identify, document, and track data quality issues, collaborating with relevant teams to develop and implement corrective actions.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data quality processes, standards, and findings to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in data quality management, proactively recommending improvements to enhance data quality practices.

Who You Are:

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in data quality engineering or a related field, with a strong understanding of data management principles.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in SQL, Python, or similar programming languages; experience with data profiling and data quality tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, Apache NiFi).
• Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify data quality issues and derive insights from complex datasets.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of data quality.
• Collaboration Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving data quality issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and practices.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to communicate data quality findings effectively.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services.
