Summary

We are looking for an experienced leader who is passionate about utilizing data science and advanced analytics to improve the Fan experience. You will partner closely with Product, Design, Engineering, Experimentation and other cross-functional teams to enhance our understanding of the user journey and find levers for growth. Responsibilities

  • Utilize a wide range of data science capabilities from exploratory analysis and modeling, to creating reports and dashboards, and A/B testing
  • Define and monitor KPIs that measure the success of the user experience through models and dashboards, create driver trees, and communicate actionable information to the business
  • Identify any new data capture required and build custom data sets to enable reports of novel features and processes
  • Champion experimentation and AB testing by informing on primary and secondary KPI, segmentation, profitability, statistical validity, etc.
  • Ensure data integrity and recognize/resolve data inconsistencies in databases, reports, and analyses
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design scalable and future-proof instrumentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required. Graduate degree in Statistics, Math, Economics, Engineering or Analytics preferred
  • 4+ years experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst translating business questions into deep actionable insights, preferably with a focus in digital data and business analytics
  • 3+ years experience with large data sets and with data visualization tools (Tableau or similar) designing and creating dashboards
  • 2+ years experience in a leadership role within a data organization
  • 3+ years experience querying in SQL
  • 2+ years experience in experimentation design, A/B testing
  • 2+ years experience with regression modeling and/or probabilistic modeling utilizing Python or R
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with audiences ranging from inexperienced end users to C-suite decision-makers
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple initiatives and execute plans and initiatives with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to work extremely well with cross-functional teams

Physical Requirements 

Ability to work in-office a minimum of three days a week. 

The expected salary range for this role is $180,000 - $235,000. This is based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is also eligible for the Fanatics Commerce annual bonus program and an equity award. This salary range is listed in USD and will be determined in part by a successful candidate’s geographic location.
