Nature of Work
Performing research in computational chemistry and drug discovery, combining physics-based simulations methods with deep learning. The candidate is expected to develop his/her own methodologies and apply those in prospective projects in cancer and neurological diseases, as well as writing papers fro submission to peer review journals.
Minimum QualificationsCandidates must have a BSc or MSc in Chemistry/Biochemistry. They should either have taken one course in quantum chemistry or statistical mechanics, one in computational chemistry, and one in AI for chemistry or biology with a minimum grade of A- at the undergraduate/graduate level, OR demonstrate hands-on experience in computational chemistry with at least one first author peer-reviewed publication. Candidates must also demonstrate programming proficiency with Python and Bash through a take-home assignment, and have experience with at least three of the following programs: Gromacs, NAMD, Amber, Autodock, Vina, OpenEye suite. Experience with ML frameworks (Pytorch or Tensorflow) is beneficial but not mandatory.
