Within this framework, we are looking for an agile and highly-motivated “Data-driven Network Services Research Engineer” to join a team of future shapers.
Job role
The successful candidate will be involved in the design and development of network service management and automation solutions focusing on data-driven and cloud-native technologies along the beyond-5G and 6G roadmap. As a research engineer, the candidate will work on a small team, while being versatile and independent, will tackle interesting research problems and will gain expertise in beyond the state-of-the-art data analytics, Cloud Computing and networking technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement experimental systems and applications focusing on cloud-native, data-driven networking technologies for next-generation (B5G/6G) telecommunications systems.
- Investigate new Cloud/Edge Computing and AI technologies for network service automation.
- Configure, deploy, maintain, and use software engineering tools.
- Lead or contribute to technical and scientific reports and deliver technical presentations.
- Collaborate with data science, telecom and technical teams or individuals of various backgrounds across Europe.
Requirements
- MSc (PhD preferred) in Electronic/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related technical field.
- Knowledge of cloud-native technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) and workflow management tools (e.g., Kubeflow, Argo).
- Knowledge of 5G architecture and terminology (MEC, SDN/NFV, QoS).
- Programming experience in Python, Java, Scala or C++.
- Experience in collaborative research projects, technical proposal/deliverable writing.
- Excellent use of English language.
- Excellent communication, teamwork & problem solving skills.
- Fulfilled military obligations, where applicable.
Desired Skills
- Experience with modern ML/DL frameworks (at least one of Keras, Tensorflow, PyTorch or similar).
- Record of technical reports and presentations in English.
- Familiarity with 6G enabling technologies.
