Come join our newly formed Enterprise Operations Group, focused on delivering enterprise-wide capabilities that advance Nordstrom’s top strategic priorities. This role will be a part of the Clarity, Insights & Analytics Team that aims to provide trusted insights from one source of truth for business leaders to make timely decisions and execute effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring and transforming data and building solutions to implement highly dimensional enterprise metrics, KPIs, and insights. You will work closely with a cross-functional network including business leaders, program management, product management, data science, and technology to support, deliver and champion a culture of data-driven decision-making. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Insights & Analytics.
A day in the life…
- Responsible for delivering a suite of data products including analyses, dashboards, insights, and recommendations (both on-going and ad hoc).
- Partner with business stakeholders to provide insights through analysis to identify root causes of business performance issues; build interactive tools that codify this knowledge.
- Collaborate closely with product management and engineering to enable scalable end to end data and insights solutions.
- Work closely with program management to identify and drive best practices, standards, and governance in order to deliver trusted insights from one source of truth based on approved definitions and designs.
- Deliver high quality solutions and recommendations to a variety of problems both independently and through the collaboration with team members and business partners to drive outcomes.
- Support end user integration and adoption of trusted enterprise metrics, KPIs, and insights.
- Present insights to leaders through data-driven story telling.
- Supplement other data-driven initiatives to deliver the Enterprise Operations’ vision, as needed.
You own this if you have…
- Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, and Data Science or related experience required
- 2+ years of related work experience extracting, manipulating, and analyzing data and delivering business insights.
- Proficiency in SQL and able to productionalize SQL scripts with minimal guidance. Working knowledge of advanced functions in SQL.
- Intermediate knowledge of how to acquire data from data sources other than a SQL database & blend with other sources efficiently.
- Intermediate knowledge of at least one programming language to aid analysis or automation.
- Ability to creatively & effectively apply descriptive and inferential statistical methods to answer complex business questions.
- Ability to conduct analyses with complex analytical storytelling & recommendations by creating a narrative that can be used by business to enact change. Condenses technical findings for both technical/non audiences and highlights trade offs.
- Strong data visualization skills in Tableau or complementary visualization tools to build self-service dashboards for end users.
- Experience using visualizations to summarize large amounts of data & highlight key insights for stakeholders. Combines statistical knowledge with graphical design to create informative, compelling visualizations.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with a multitude of partners and stakeholder across diverse domains and functions.
- Communicates effectively both formally and informally with stakeholders with guidance.
- Experience with data governance a plus.
- Knowledge of merchandise, inventory and supply chain planning systems a plus
- Knowledge of financial and/or operational metrics and KPIs a plus.

Washington: $87,500 - $145,500 AnnuallyThis position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses.
