Arthur Grand Technologies is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Data Architect for one of our clients.

San Antonio, TX - Remote

Full Time

 

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience with mainframe Fidelity architecture and systems. Display initiative and work effectively in a team environment. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Innovative problem-solving skills and analytical skills. Experience with Microsoft office tools and host integration middleware concepts.

 

 

In the Integrated Solutions team, the Senior Data Architect researches, designs, and manages modifications to client's existing systems according to business requirements. Responsible for understanding structural requirements and defining standards for how data is stored, consumed, integrated, and managed across multiple platforms. Understands how data flows through the organization. Designs and builds complex models, approves modifications, and leads the development team in coding and implementing modifications or completely new applications. Implements measures to ensure data accuracy and accessibility. Provides conceptual and analytical support to subordinate personnel. Acts as the gatekeeper to ensure that all designs will have a minimal impact on vendor software. Design must take into consideration all downstream applications; data extracts, and interfaces to third party vendors. Manage, coordinate, and/or carry out development projects of varying magnitudes to meet deadlines and business objectives, including project reporting to senior management. Develop processing, archiving and recovery procedures for systems. Develop over-arching system design and specifications for new and existing applications, including interfaces to existing systems by creating a Technical Design Document. Document system design and/or processing flow diagrams for new and/or revised systems to include integration points across multiple applications. Designs system modifications by considering all downstream applications when evaluating the impact of changes. Has the ability to direct, manage, code, test, and install systems/releases ensuring installations are problem free with no negative impact on Members/Users and ensuring systems are easily maintainable. Ensure program specifications are complete, accurate, and conform to standards. Safeguards the integrity of vendor software by housing new data elements only within approved user areas or files external to the vendor applications. Completes any other job related duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Purpose, and abide by our Organization’s Values.

What We Require:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and two (2) years of experience as a Data Architect, Systems Analyst or comparable experience. Proficiency with and ability to continuously learn mainframe IBM z/OS environment including, COBOL, CICS, Assembler, Easytrieve, ISPF, VSAM, and Endeavor. Experience with Microsoft office tools and host integration middleware concepts preferred.
