The Data Management Specialist serves within University Advancement Services and reports to the Assistant Director of Advancement Services. This position is responsible for supporting the department’s efforts of establishing and developing a comprehensive data management plan.
An associate's degree and one year of relevant work experience is required. A bachelor's degree and five years of experience is preferred.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
- Must bring innovative ideas to the workplace
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to learn quickly and feel comfortable with new, changing technologies; must interact and work well with others
- High attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere
Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis.
What You Will Do
- Prepare csv and Excel files for import into the CRM
- Review data integrity reports and address issues as needed
- Manage the Alumni and Friends Directory requests and updates; communicate with constituents and help troubleshoot
- Be fully cross-trained with other team members
- Train and supervise student worker(s)
- Take a proactive role in identifying data issues and deficiencies, and collaborate with the Data Management team to address those
- Assist with updating and reviewing documentation and procedures to further define and optimize standardized internal processes; serve as proofreader
- Proactively execute assignments; carry out other duties as assigned
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
