We are looking for a Sr. Support Engineer to join us as we build cutting-edge technology solutions! This is your opportunity to be part of a team that is committed to delivering best-in-class service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the final point of escalation and resolution for advanced technical support, handling highly complex products, escalated issues, and confidential security matters.
- Provide advanced technical support to diverse audiences, including IT professionals, developers, architects, and executive management.
- Take ownership of customer support experience by collaborating with teams, implementing troubleshooting best practices, and ensuring transparency.
- Drive customer success and instill confidence in the Azure platform.
- Offer best practice recommendations across the entire range of Azure resources based on customer solutions.
- Clearly articulate recommendations in both written and spoken form to technical and leadership audiences.
- Navigate complex and strategic customer events, understanding their requirements and needs.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in English language (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a customer-facing or customer support role, with a strong ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues involving multiple technologies in a team environment.
- At least 2 years' experience with SQL Server or a similar database product.
- Solid knowledge of performance tuning, database design, and T-SQL language.
- Experience in capacity planning, sizing SQL Server environments, and configuring high availability solutions.
- Ability to meet customer, and/or government security screening requirements for the role.
- Industry experience with Microsoft Server products, network connectivity, UNIX or other operating systems, and database migration to the cloud or SQL Server version upgrades.
- Experience in creating technical documentation and sharing knowledge through training and mentoring.
- Additional experience in the following areas is beneficial:
- Containers: Docker, Kubernetes (k8), OpenShift, cloud storage, flannel.
- Big Data: Apache Spark, YARN, Livy, ZooKeeper, Ranger, Knox, Polybase.
- Machine Learning: SparkSQL, Java, Scala, Python, Jupyter.
- Data Sources: MongoDB, Cloudera, Teradata, Oracle, DB2.
- Monitoring: Collectd, Grafana, Fluentd, InfluxDB, Elasticsearch.
- Familiarity with Linux script-based development environments and tools (Perl, Python, Ruby, PHP, etc.).
Salary Range
Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $84,100 to $111,300 USD/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
