A Senior Asset Owner plays an integral role in the successful design, deployment, and adoption of end-to-end analytical solutions to better serve our business partners. The Customer Operations Data Science Team is seeking an energetic and passionate Senior Asset Owner to drive adoption of Data Science assets by building strong stakeholder relationships and identifying opportunities to build or enhance assets to deliver additional business value.
The Customer Operations Data Science Team is a recently created data science and analytics team which engineers end-to-end analytic and machine learning solutions to optimize operational efficiency & customer experience, and utilizes all touchpoints generated by our customers on their omnichannel journey through The Hartford’s vast engagement ecosystem.
As a Senior Asset Owner, you will be expected to build relationships and partner with stakeholders to ensure that data science solutions are addressing business problems as intended and achieving the expected value. You will identify gaps and opportunities in existing processes and devise new or improved data science solutions to identify risks, enhance processes, and increase operational efficiency. Additionally, the Senior Asset Owner provides tactical support to the Data Science and Engineering teams by driving project execution, roadmaps, and regular updates to business partners. The ability to take detailed data science and engineering output and highlight key findings, results, and recommendations to our business partners is fundamental to project success.
This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office location (Hartford, CT, Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL, Columbus, OH) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Responsibilities:
- Build strong partnerships, provide thought partnership, and act as liaison and advisor between Data Science & Analytics, Business, Operations, and IT stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to evolve existing assets or to develop new assets that will add business value
- Assist in development of vision, strategic planning, success criteria, CBA and value propositions for Data Science assets
- Identify and scope opportunities, prioritize work, instill disciplined project timelines and sequence work and dependencies to deliver results in a timely manner
- Communicate with and influence audiences of various levels and diverse backgrounds
- Execute well-designed communication plans tailored to audiences ranging from technical peers to business stakeholders of various levels
- Assist with the communication plan and marketing strategy of key initiatives, including building customer artifacts to support adoption, marketing and socialization including documentation, project plans, road maps and insight briefs
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in supporting analytic or machine learning product ownership or technical development in insurance or related field recommended
- Proficiency in turning a business problem into an executable technical or analytical solution
- Proficiency in impactful storytelling, communication, and relationship-building across a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in creating compelling visuals articulating complex analytical topics leveraging Microsoft tools.
- Proficiency in translating complex technical topics into business solutions and strategies as well as turn business requirements into a technical solution
- Experience with leading project execution and driving change to core business processes through the innovative use of quantitative techniques
- Basic understanding of statistics, the analytical project lifecycle, data science concepts, data transformation and data warehouse concepts
- Domain knowledge in Insurance and KPIs is a plus
- Agile and Product Owner experience is a plus
- Operations or Contact Center experience is a plus
Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
