The Data Analytics Lead Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning. This technical lead role is to manage IT initiatives primarily focusing on data quality aspects, design and develop DQ framework, adherence and conformance that includes data analysis, profiling, root cause identification, ETL process reviews and remediation working closely with leads within Chief Data office, Data Governance, Legacy Product Processors leads, IT teams etc., to meet the data quality conformance goals in Regulatory reporting space.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the complete regulatory data demand landscape, processes and life cycle end to end in planning & managing scope, timelines, quality etc.,

  • Partner with key stakeholders such as Business, Chief data officers, Data Governance officers, Finance and IT teams in managing the regulatory reporting scope and demands.

  • Provide input during development and implementation phases, including formulation and definition of systems scope, objectives and necessary system enhancements for complex, high-impact projects

  • Resolve data quality issues, remediate data proxies through strategic solutions through the established processes such as DCRMs, Releases etc., 

  • Expert analysis of Consumer banking data to identify data anomalies, data quality, recon breaks and data standard issues.

  • Ability to visualize data lineage end to end from the point of origin to consumption co-relating to business processes, system flow, data hops etc.,

  • Fast tracking the learning process in understanding the existing systems, data, standards, financial systems, Citi products, data flows to strengthen the domain knowledge to effectively contribute in project and program objectives.

  • Be technical hands on in data analysis, profiling, trouble shooting & issue resolutions.

  • Act as owner, team player, influence positively without authority, bind teams together and align to common project and management directives.

  • Manage Regulatory Delivery Scope, provide oversight and govern project execution on all major and Minor releases right from planning to post implementation.

  • Responsible all phases of the project deliverables.

  • Be detailed oriented, act swift, manage deliverable independently with minimal hand holding.

  • Driving out of the box solution approaches, problem solving and adopting to new tools and technologies as the need arises.

  • Identify and communicate risks and impacts and propose risk mitigation options, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment

  • Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and partner with multiple management teams and other units to meet organizational objectives

  • Responsible for management status reporting on a timely manner.

  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals

  • Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions

  • Engage in Design forums and make recommendations based on lessons learnt.

  • Works towards continuous improvements in managing our data assets.

  • 100% adherence to compliance, controls and data access reviews are done timely.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience across Apps Development, Systems Analysis, System Maintenance and Support functions.

  • Technical hands on and proven track record in data analysis.

  • Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications

  • Experience in leading support functions.

  • Experience in managing, supporting and implementing successful projects

  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development & Support.

  • Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate

  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in handling large volumes of data or DWH / EDWs or Big Data Platforms.

  • At least around 8 or more years of experience in data projects with proven track of working and managing technical deliveries.

  • Prior Exposure to Data standards is an added advantage.

  • Experience working in ETL, Visualization, Data Lineage / Tracing tools and software maintenance is preferred.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using Excel for data analysis

  • Any certification on data science or related will be a plus (e.g. MongoDB, Big Data)

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Master's degree preferred

$114,720.00 - $172,080.00
