This position is within the Cloud Centre of Excellence team, which is instrumental in driving technological advancements in the automotive industry.

Job Description:

We are in search of a dedicated Cloud Engineer to establish and lead a Cloud Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) initiative within the Active Safety and User Experience division, which focuses on crafting the next generation of Autonomous Driving solutions for prominent car manufacturers worldwide. In this role, you will lead the development of best practices, tools, and processes essential for a top-tier Cloud SRE operation and oversee the implementation of SRE solutions in critical areas such as CI/CD, Simulation, and AI.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, build, and maintain scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-based software engineering tools.
  • Design integrations with leading observability platforms and implement AI-enhanced alerting systems.
  • Apply cybersecurity best practices for comprehensive threat detection and Identity Management across multiple platforms.
  • Address performance issues to enhance system reliability and scalability.
  • Create and maintain automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure system and service usability.
  • Work with other SREs to devise solutions for effective monitoring, logging, and alerting of cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Continually upgrade our cloud infrastructure to maximize efficiency, scalability, and security.
  • Actively participate in project meetings to uphold best practices and swiftly address issues.
  • Remain updated on the latest industry trends and technological advancements.

Experience/Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in DevOps, MLOps, Cloud Site Reliability Engineering, or similar roles.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Go, Perl.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Knowledgeable in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies (Ansible, Terraform, Cloud Formation).
  • Good understanding of monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging capabilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Fluent in English and familiar with Agile methodologies.
