Principal Data Engineer

• Develop and implement data pipelines that extract, load and transform data from various sources: This includes using ELT tools and technologies to clean, transform, and integrate data from different systems using Oracle Data Integrator.
• Design and develop data models that store data in a way that is efficient and scalable: This includes using data modelling techniques to create data structures that meet the needs of the business.
• Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and availability for data consumers: Responsible for on-premises Oracle technologies using Oracle Data Integrator and other tools.
• Develop and implement data security measures to protect data from unauthorized access and misuse: This includes using encryption, access control, and other security measures to protect data.
• Work with stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop solutions that meet those needs: This includes communicating with stakeholders about data requirements, data quality, and data security.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest data technologies and trends: This includes learning about new data tools and technologies, as well as new ways to use data to solve business problems.
• Conducting data analysis
• Developing data visualizations
• Integrating data with other applications
• Troubleshooting data problems
• Writing data documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field (preferred)
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in the relevant field.
• Proven experience in data transformation, Oracle Data Integrator is preferred.
• Sound knowledge of security principles, procedures, and practices
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
• BI delivery management with project managers
