Data Engineer (with GCP)

Softeta is a computer software company that is looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, You will work for a leading European financial services group.

About the role:

Our client is setting up a reporting team, often required by law and regulatory demands. You will be part of helping with the establishing integrations to the new data platform but also focusing on Next Generation Custody specific data analytics and reporting needs.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the data platform to build reports and analytics;
• Be a part of establishing data products and incorporating them into our reports and market place;
• Collaborating with architects, product owners and other developers.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and demonstrated experience with GCP services, including but not limited to BigQuery, Dataform, Dataflow, and Cloud Functions;
• Advanced programming skills in Python;
• Competence in SQL programming for data manipulation and querying;
• Familiarity with version control systems such as GitLab or GitHub;
• Experience with Tableau/Looker;
• Knowledge of Terraform - Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool for managing cloud infrastructure;
• Understanding of data processes like ETL/ELT, data modeling, and data quality management;
• Fundamental understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices to enhance development workflows.
