The Opportunity:

Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Director of Data will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of data strategy, management, and utilization within the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise in data architecture, analytics, and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare or pharmaceutical industries, with a proven track record of leveraging data to drive business outcomes and improve patient support programs.

 A Day in the Life (What you will do here):

  • Data Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with senior management to define data-driven initiatives that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Data Management and Governance:
    • Establish and maintain robust data governance frameworks to ensure data integrity, privacy, and security.
    • Oversee data integration, storage, and retrieval processes across multiple systems and platforms.
  • Analytics and Reporting:
    • Lead a team of data analysts and data scientists in conducting insightful data analysis to support decision-making.
    • Develop and deliver regular reports and dashboards to stakeholders, highlighting key performance metrics and trends.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with IT, operations, and clinical teams to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements in patient support programs.
    • Work closely with external vendors and partners to leverage data-driven solutions and technologies.
  • Leadership and Team Development:
    • Provide leadership and mentorship to the data team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
    • Recruit, train, and develop talent to build a high-performing data organization.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the manager

     What you need to ensure you are set up for success:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in data management, analytics, or related roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
    • Proven experience in developing and implementing data strategies within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
    • Strong understanding of data architecture principles, including data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
    • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python).
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders
