The Learning Analytics and Evaluation Specialist’ role involves supporting the development and management of evaluation strategies across our graduate programs. Reporting to the Director of Systems, Strategy, and Innovation, the Learning Analytics and Evaluation Specialist will assist in aligning evaluation activities with institutional goals and support strategic decision-making. The incumbent in this role will have some experience in educational assessment, data analysis, and process improvement, with a willingness to learn and grow in creating evaluation systems that enhance educational outcomes.
- Assist in designing and implementing evaluation frameworks for graduate programs, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and accreditation standards.
- Help develop and administer surveys, assessments, and other evaluation tools to gather meaningful data on program effectiveness and student outcome
- Supports the establishment and maintenance of longitudinal data collection systems.
- Assist in analyzing datasets using statistical methods and data visualization techniques to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborates with faculty, program directors, and administrators to interpret evaluation results and develop data-driven recommendations for program enhancement.
- Creates and delivers reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Supports process improvement initiatives based on evaluation outcomes.
- Stays current with best practices in learning analytics, educational assessment, and evaluation methodologies.
- Provides training and support to faculty and staff on evaluation processes and data interpretation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Psychology, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in educational assessment, program evaluation, or learning analytics, preferably in higher education.
- Basic understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods, survey design, and statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and software (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, or similar).
- Basic experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and ability to create clear, informative reports.
- Demonstrated interest in designing and implementing evaluation systems.
- Good project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
